What StoreSpan does, how the dashboard is laid out, and where to find help for each part.
StoreSpan adds things to your BigCommerce store that the theme alone does not give you: mega menus, banners, countdowns, product kits and whole pages, plus tools for keeping your product images tidy. You set everything up in the StoreSpan dashboard, and it shows up on your storefront.
These pages are for store owners and the staff who work in the dashboard. They describe what each screen does, what happens on BigCommerce when you press a button, and the limits you may run into.
How the dashboard is organised
The left menu of the dashboard has these groups, in this order:

Images
Label your product images, keep them in order, import new ones and send the labels to BigCommerce.
Injectables
Put menus, banners, countdowns and custom content on your storefront, and choose who sees them and when.
Blocks
Build a piece of content once and reuse it in many injectables.
More sections are on the way, one for each remaining group in the menu.
A few words you will see everywhere
- Storefront is your live shop, the pages your customers see.
- Dashboard is the StoreSpan app where you and your staff sign in.
- Sync means StoreSpan sending a change to BigCommerce in the background. Most syncs run within a minute or two; a few run once a day.
- Write-back is the same thing seen from BigCommerce's side: StoreSpan writing a value into your store.
